After playing for a few hours, the villagers in my village vanished. After waiting an in-game day I found out only one villager remained, and he was an un-hired one. After waiting over 3 hrs and seeing that he hasn't chosen a profession I decided to chose one for him.
I took the brewing stand that had just been sitting there in one of the houses and placed it in front of him over 3 times. I tried placing it in his house, that didn't work, then I placed it at the door so he couldn't leave his house, it didn't work, I placed it back in it's original spot, and then tried pushing him into the cobblestone building (which is where the stand was originally), and that didn't work. I even tried trapping him in there (he's in there while I am typing this).
Is he just glitched (and if he IS glitched then should I just end him?), or are some requirements not being met here?
