Ever since I upgraded my town hall to level 10 (2 years ago), I have never left the lower gold league trophy range (1300-1700). I’m aware that that is very low for a TH10. At the time I reached TH10, I was heavily rushed. Right now, I have nearly maxed building structures, walls. I still have loads of dark troops and spells that aren’t maxed. Heroes are both at lvl 25. I have no intention in upgrading my town hall anytime soon.
Basically, my main need right now is dark elixir. I am able to get 20k a day from casual farming, doing few attacks each day with barch. It’s not enough to keep the lab, and the builders busy all the time. Most of my clanmates suggest moving up to higher leagues for more dark elixir. They said stuff about increasing loot bonus, star bonus, etc. I am not a fan of the idea, given that in gold league, 90% of my defense attacks fail to get my DE. I would lose more in higher leagues.
Another problem is that I love barching. There is something about this form of attack that makes me happy during raids that no other army composition can do. But if moving up in trophies leads to getting more DE, I’m willing to give up barch.
What trophy range should I farm at for good DE? And what army composition should I use in that trophy range?
