Чески-Тешин (чеш. Český Těšín, польск. Czeski Cieszyn (Чески-Цешин)) — город в Чехии, входит в Моравскосилезский край. Занимает площадь 33,8 км². Население 26 330 человек. Располагается на левом берегу реки Олше.

История |


Территория Ческого-Тешина была индустриальным предместьем города Тешин (Teschen) и называлась Саская Купа (Saská Kupa или Sachsenberg). В 1920 году Тешин был разделён между Польшей и Чехословакией. Отошедшая Чехословакии часть города на левом берегу реки Ользы стала называться Чески-Тешин (Český Těšín).


В 1938 году Польша захватила Чески-Тешин и назвала его Западный Цешин (Cieszyn Zachodni). После разгрома Польши в 1939 году весь город был включен в состав Германии. В 1945 году Чески-Тешин был возвращён Чехословакии.
