Forgot to cap my FPS to 60 to reduce power and help my laptop with its cooling, and I realized this about 1-2 months in. I've only been playing games like Minecraft, Fortnite, and Roblox on this laptop and they weren't capped at 60 fps for the first few months I got the laptop, but I've learned since then. I've owned this laptop for a little over a year now, and it's been performing great. Is there any chance of damage to components inside my laptop? The laptop should just handle it right? Thanks in advance.

It won't damage any components unless there was some existing problem. CPUs and CPUs generally automatically shut themselves down if they approach temperatures that could cause damage.

yes, your laptop is fine. there would be huge performance issues and failures if something went wrong with the components of your computer-- for example, CPUs, as Badeline said in the comments above, normally shut themselves down if temperatures are too high, most laptop power supplies will shut down the system before croaking.
