I have recently cured two zombie villagers but both have turned into tool smiths. But I want a villager as a librarian.

To try and change the profession, I got each villager in their own space and in one of their spaces, I placed a lectern a block away from the villager (in a 2x1 area)
- as I have read tutorials that this is the way to change their profession. But the villager still remains as a tool smith.

Why isn't it working?? and are their any other ways to change the profession??

I have recently cured two zombie villagers but both have turned into tool smiths. But I want a villager as a librarian.

To try and change the profession, I got each villager in their own space and in one of their spaces, I placed a lectern a block away from the villager (in a 2x1 area)
- as I have read tutorials that this is the way to change their profession. But the villager still remains as a tool smith.

Why isn't it working?? and are their any other ways to change the profession??
